South Austin Living Water update 8 – Oct 11, 2013
We are in the PORT-au-Prince airport awaiting our flight home. Friday was an incredible day. We arrived early to finalize the well and install the hand pump. The village had prepared the site with all kinds of plants and beautiful flowers and held a dedication for the well.
During the dedication they assigned a team from their community to protect the well. We heard from a local minister, school director, they sang songs, worshipped, and prayed over the team. It was overwhelming, to be honest. What a great joy to see this community so excited about their new well.
The afternoon allowed the team to relax at a local resort. There while on the beach we witnessed another miracle of Gods beauty by seeing a full double rainbow over the ocean which lasted 10 to 15 minutes. Beautiful!
We now sit here in the airport ready to go home. Thank you for all of the prayers. God is good.
John 4:10-14
Awesome. It is a really something to see how the Lord is blessing efforts done in his name. I was in Ecuador for two weeks earlier this summer working with the Quicha Indians. It was a neat experience to see how hungry these people are for God’s Word, and how needy they are. They are not quite as poor as Haiti, but pretty close to it!
